2025 Fast & Furriest 5K Fun Run

Each year, Sport Event & Facilities Management students select a nonprofit organization to receive the event's proceeds. In 2025, students opted to work with the Metro East Humane Society, an organization located in Edwardsville, IL, that improves animal welfare in the St. Louis Metro East by providing quality animal services including adoption of animals, advocacy and preventative initiatives.  

Choose to run or walk our 5K event.
Join us on Saturday, April 12 at 8 a.m. at the McKendree's Hettenhausen Center for the Arts in Lebanon, IL.

​Feel like a flat, fast 3.1-mile course is a good option for you? Want to get a great workout while competing and raising money for a good cause? Join us on Saturday, April 12! A short-sleeve T-shirt will be included with your entry fee.

​Your participation in our 2025 event not only will support the Metro East Humane Society, but will also help the Sport Management program ensure funds to continue the organization of this event year after year. The whole event is organized by McKendree seniors who put the skills they've learned over the last four years to work in a real-world experience.
